PENSACOLA, Fla. — The next weather forecaster is moving across the South and bringing severe storms. Heavy rain and strong storms will move into the WEAR News area early Tuesday. The main threat will be damaging winds, but tornadoes are also possible in the Southeast.
The severe weather outlook places parts of Mississippi and Louisiana in an enhanced risk zone, or 3 out of 5, Monday evening. The risk shifts east Tuesday and the WEAR News area is at a Slight Risk or Level 2 of 5 Tuesday morning.
As storms move in early Tuesday, expect breezy conditions with southerly winds.
One to two inches of rain will be possible as storms pass. The rainy weather will disappear from the area by midday Tuesday. Cooler air will follow for the rest of the week and into the Thanksgiving holiday.
