Colorado police have released body camera footage showing the moment a train collided with a police cruiser parked on train tracks. A suspect was being held in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
In the video, provided by FOX 31 Denver, two officers are seen detaining the driver of the vehicle suspected of being involved in a road rage incident and placing her inside the patrol vehicle that was parked on the train tracks.
Moments later, a train can be heard and the two officers near the patrol vehicle can be seen fleeing the area.
The train then collides with the patrol car, heavily damaging it and seriously injuring the woman who was handcuffed inside.

The incident took place on the night of September 16, when law enforcement officers were in pursuit of a suspect believed to be in a road rage incident involving a firearm at Fort Lupton.
Deputies from the Weld County Sheriff’s Office were initially looking for the suspect’s truck when a Platteville Police Department officer found it and arrested the driver, 20-year-old Yareni Rios-Gonzalez, of Greeley.
Rios-Gonzalez pulled over just past a set of train tracks, and the Platteville policeman pulled over right behind her, parking on the tracks themselves.

Fort Lupton officers then showed up to assist in the arrest, and Rios-Gonzalez was placed in the Platteville police vehicle on suspicion of a threatening crime, FOX 31 reported.
She reportedly suffered nine broken ribs among other hip and leg injuries, according to FOX 31.

Platteville Police Chief Carl Dwyer told Fox News the officer involved has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.
