Video shows cops beating man in Arkansas

MULBERRY, Arkansas, USA (AP) — Three Arkansas police officers have been suspended after video emerged on social media of a man on the ground being punched by police officers.

Arkansas State Police said late Sunday they will investigate the incident that day outside a store in Mulberry, about 140 miles (220 kilometers) northwest of Little Rock.

Two police officers from Crawford County and one from the city of Mulberry were suspended Sunday, authorities said. They added that officers had responded to a call about someone yelling threats outside the store.

The individual was identified as Randal Worcester, 27, of Goose Creek, South Carolina.

The video shows one police officer punching him while another knees him and another pins him to the ground.

Worcester was taken to the hospital and later to the Van Buren County Jail on charges of assault, resisting arrest and making threats, police said.

Authorities have not released the identity of the three police officers in the video.
