Victoria Beckham Finally Performs With Spice Girls Again After Years of Feuding

LONDON — Victoria Beckham has long refused to attend a Spice Girls reunion and this month denied rumors that the group would reunite again for a one-off concert.

But the advertising queen, who helped turn her footballer husband David into a global icon, found the perfect way to make headlines for her 50th birthday party in London by joining up with her oldies one last time bandmates on stage.

It was one of the most exclusive shows of the year, with only around 40 guests reportedly invited to the black tie party at the Oswald Members’ Club, including Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay.

David Beckham himself became a cameraman the moment Victoria joined Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton on stage to sing the 90s hit ‘Stop’. He posted a clip on Instagram containing footage of himself with his mouth wide open in shock. He added the caption: “I mean come on x”

The clip showed that Posh, Ginger, Scary, Sporty and Baby still largely remembered the choreography, although Victoria herself still seemed somewhat reluctant to sing.

She refused to join the rest of the group who reunited in 2019 for a lucrative reunion tour. The last time they performed together was at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

After rumors the band might play the ‘Legends’ slot at Glastonbury, France Radio asked Victoria earlier this month if they would do anything to mark their 30th anniversary: ’We’re having a group chat . I talk to all the girls. It would be nice for us to do something to celebrate – a dinner or lunch – and to remember. But yes, it won’t be more than that.

Tabloid reports suggest the former group members have mellowed out in recent years after endless reports of feuds between Victoria and Mel B, and more recently Mel B and Geri, filled British magazines and newspapers for decades.

The Sun reports that “there wasn’t a dry eye in the house” on Saturday night as the band members joined a handful of stars and the growing Beckham clan to reminisce, pay tribute and make some jokes about Victoria.
