Vasiliy Lomachenko dominates George Kambosos Jr. with a brilliant boxing performance to become IBF lightweight champion

Vasiliy Lomachenko is lightweight world champion again.

The 36-year-old completely outclassed George Kambosos Jr. behind a dazzling display of footwork, stealthy level changes and sharp boxing burst to deliver a thrilling 11th-round TKO to win the IBF lightweight world title at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Sunday.

Steadily breaking Kambosos round by round, Lomachenko wrapped a left hand to the body, forcing the battered Australian to a knee in the 11th round. With blood gushing from a cut over his right eye, Kambosos mustered enough courage to get up from the canvas, but Lomachenko rushed at him and targeted the body again as Kambosos took another knee, prompting the referee to stop the fight as Kambosos’ corner simultaneously threw the towel.
