UPDATE: Service resumes on BART’s San Francisco line after delay due to trackside equipment issue

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — The prior equipment issue that caused a major delay in San Francisco’s BART line has been resolved, officials said.

Service on the Red Line between Millbrae and Richmond and the Green Line between Daly City and Berryessa has resumed, but residual delays are expected.

There is a delay on the San Francisco BART line in all directions due to an equipment issue on the track, officials said Saturday afternoon.

A BART official said a communications cable was likely hanging from the entrance to the Transbay Tube on the Oakland side. The crews respond to the scene.

BART says Red Line service between Millbrae and Richmond and Green Line service between Daly City and Berryessa are also canceled.
