Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey
Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Supply, Ashwini Kumar Choubey, said on Friday that the government was trying to control edible oil prices.
Speaking to reporters in Pune, he also said action was being taken against those involved in the hoarding of essential food items. Asked about the rising prices of edible oils, he said the country had to import these products.
“Despite this, we are making every effort to ensure people get edible oil at a controlled price. We are working to keep prices under control,” Choubey said.
