‘Unfit’ Yasir Shah takes great catches on his own bowling at Pakistan T20 Cup

Yasir Shah, who has often been criticized for his fitness, landed a magnificent catch of his own bowling in the second Pakistan T20 Cup semi-final between Balochistan and Sindh. The 35-year-old footman dismissed Hasan Mohsin from Sindh after the latter, charging, took the lead.

Balochistan leg veteran Yasser Shah took an outstanding hold to send Sindh’s Hasan Mohsin off in the second semi-final of the Pakistan T20 Cup underway at Multan Cricket Stadium. Shah, 35, threw a good length around the center stump, and Mohsin charged the ground to hit the ball, only getting a leading edge.

Still, the ball seemed to have lobbed quite far from Shah. The latter then performed a full dive on his left side and grabbed the hold with both hands. Mohsin was stunned by Shah’s valiant efforts as Balochistan players celebrated the dismissal.

Shah has been a prolific wicket-taker for Pakistan over the years, particularly in Test cricket, but has often been criticized for his fitness. In 46 Tests, he scalped 235 wickets with 16 five-wicket runs. Sadly, he hasn’t played international cricket since August 2021 and didn’t feature in the three-match Test series against Australia which Pakistan lost 0-1.
