Ukrainian forces have killed 1,040 Russian invaders in the past day | ukraine news
The Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated around 162,560 Russian troops between February 24, 2022 and March 16, 2023, including 1,040 in the last day alone.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said so in its latest update posted on Facebook.
During the period, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 3,504 Russian main battle tanks (including 12 tanks in the last day), 6,810 armored fighting vehicles (+11), 2,539 artillery systems (+11 ) and 503 multiple rocket launchers (+1). The enemy also lost 265 anti-aircraft warfare systems (+3), 305 combat aircraft (+1), 289 helicopters, 2,145 tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (+13), 907 cruise missiles, 18 warships/ boats, 5,394 vehicles and tankers (+17), and 257 pieces of special equipment.
On March 15, Ukrainian forces launched 16 strikes against Russian military personnel and equipment concentration areas.
