Ukrainian doctors marry amid destruction

In leather jackets, bride Anastasiya Grachova and groom Anton Sokolov walk down the rubble-filled aisle of a bombed-out building in the city of Kharkiv. Grachova, a nurse, and Sokolov, a dental surgeon, met while volunteering to provide medical aid to residents as the eastern Ukrainian town came under Russian attack. On Sunday, the couple marched to the Palace of Labor and an Orthodox church, both damaged by shells, before getting married at a metro station. (April 5)
