Ukraine strikes military depot in Russian-held town

ODESSA, Ukraine – Ukrainian forces struck an ammunition dump deep in Russian-occupied territory in the south of the country, as Russia shelled Ukrainian towns to the east in its effort to capture the entirety of the Donbass region, Ukrainian officials said.

The long-range strikes portend the next phase of the war, with Ukraine aiming to free its southern regions from Russian control and Moscow seeking to seize more of eastern Ukraine.
