The UFC finally returns to the UK this weekend after a three-year hiatus.

A map of London took place every year between 2016 and 2019 before the coronavirus pandemic moved the Octagon away from the O2 Arena.

UFC London returns after three years away

Liverpudlian Darren Till was the man who headlined UFC London’s final card in a losing effort to Jorge Masvidal.

But now Britain’s Tom Aspinall will be in the main event this year in a heavyweight bout against Alexander Volkov.

Rising star Paddy Pimblett will also be in action, as will Molly McCann, Paul Craig and Dan Hooker.

UFC London: Date and Live Stream

The flagship event is to take place on Saturday March 19.

The action is set to start at 8pm and will be shown on BT Sport 1 as well as streamed live on BT Sport’s website and app for subscribers.

British featherweight Arnold Allen has been confirmed for the co-main event against former lightweight contender Dan Hooker.

Elsewhere, Paddy Pimblett will look to follow up his successful UFC debut with a clash against Kazula Vargas in the lightweight division.

UFC London: What was said?

UFC boss Dana White told talkSPORT: “The talent on this UK card is phenomenal.

“I’m very excited to see how these fights go and where these guys are playing, it’s a big deal for the UK.

“If these British stars can win this weekend and continue their rise through the ranks, we’ll see what’s possible in the UK over the next couple of years.

Asked about Paddy Pimblett, White added: ‘People love him. And now Paddy has to come in and work and win the fights.

“People love Conor [McGregor] and Conor came here and did what he set out to do. If Paddy can come in here and win these fights, he’s going to be a huge superstar.
