Tyson Fury says he’ll give Piers Morgan £1m if he fights again, says ‘I don’t care who wins’ between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury has promised to pay Piers Morgan £1m if he comes out of retirement and returns to the boxing ring.

The Gypsy King quit the sport after beating Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in April.

Fury knocked out Whyte in the sixth round of their fight in April, then confirmed it was his last as a professional

And speaking to Morgan on Talk TV, the WBC champ reiterated his stance

The 33-year-old is yet to vacate the WBC heavyweight title and many believe he holds it so he can fight Anthony Joshua’s winner of Oleksandr Usyk II for the undisputed title.

Fury says he’s just keeping the belt so he can have one of the longest reigns in boxing history.

Speaking to Piers Morgan on TalkTV on Wednesday, Fury’s wife, Paris, said she hoped he was retired but could see a desire to compete in him.

Paris said: “I would like him to retire but there’s something in my mind that says he craves another fight.

“That’s it – the woman’s instinct. There’s something still calling her there. As a wife, I just watch and wonder ‘are you done?’

“I hope he is. I hope he chooses another path, but honestly I think there is a question mark here.

Morgan then asked if he could be tempted by a standout British fight with Joshua or Usyk, to which Fury replied, “No, you know, I don’t care who wins the fight. I wish them both all the happiness in the world.

“I told you I finished seven weeks ago. And then there are people who talk to me about having exhibition fights, but to be honest with you, I don’t see that either.

“I don’t feel like fighting anymore…that’s enough for me.”

He then referred to an interview he gave to talkSPORT where he pointed out the extraordinary figure it would take to bring him back.

“I put in a ridiculous figure today. I said I’d come back for half a billy, half a billion pounds. It’s £500m. If that’s not ridiculous… I don’t know what it is!

“When that figure is on the table, I will definitely look at it. Half a billy is a half billy.

Instead, Fury is continuing the shows that proved so lucrative for Floyd Mayweather.

Names like Mike Tyson, Frank Bruno and even The Rock have been mentioned as possible opponents, while Fury is also set to face UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou next year.

Morgan decided to see how firm Fury was in his beliefs by betting not so little.

The host asked him, “What if you fight again, will you give me a million pounds?”

To which Tyson replied, “If I get half a billion for my fight, it won’t matter. Yes, 100%!”
