Rapper Tyga has been arrested for domestic violence after his ex-partner posted photos of his black eye online.
Tyga, real name Micheal Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, has since been released, having posted bail of $ 50,000 (£ 36,676).
Rapper Juicy has reportedly visited a Los Angeles police station after former partner Camaryn Swanson claims she was “emotionally, mentally and physically abused” by him.
TMZ reports suggest the alleged violence took place in the early hours of Monday, as Swanson drove to Tyga’s home.
Posting a photo of her with a black eye on her Instagram Stories, Swanson wrote: “I have been abused emotionally, mentally and physically and I no longer hide it.
“I’m so embarrassed and ashamed that it must have come to this, but I have to defend myself.”
Responding to speculation that she had shown up at Tyga’s house uninvited, she posted a screenshot that appeared to show the rapper sending a car to pick it up, adding, “I didn’t show up” in shouting “or uninvited. When I tried to leave he physically assaulted [me] and refused to let me go for hours. “
A hearing date has been set for February 8, 2022.
The rapper has yet to publicly respond to the allegations, and Sky News has reached out to representatives for comment.
