CHICAGO (CBS) – Two men were injured in a shooting Friday afternoon at Garfield station on the CTA red line.
The shooting happened around 12:30 p.m. at the entrance to Garfield Station along the Dan Ryan Freeway, on the edge of the Englewood and Washington Park neighborhoods, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

One victim was shot in the back and another in the abdomen. The two men were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious to critical condition.

The CTA said Red Line trains were bypassing Garfield station while police investigate.
