Two men were fatally struck by trains in Brooklyn and Manhattan overnight, police said Tuesday.
An unidentified man was lying on the tracks at Avenue U and East 16th Street station in Sheepshead Bay at around 2:40 a.m. when a southbound train 2 entered the station, cops said.
The motorist tried to brake but could not stop, cops said.
The victim was declared dead on the spot.
Hours earlier, a man in his 30s had jumped in front of a southbound 1 train at West 79th Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side, cops said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene in what cops believe was suicide, police said.
No crime was suspected in the two incidents, authorities said.
