Twitter haters stunned by homoerotic trailer for Tucker Carlson’s testosterone ‘crisis’ show

Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s critics were surprised by the stark homoerotic nature of the trailer for his upcoming ‘documentary’ about what he calls the ‘collapse’ of testosterone levels in men .

The steamy trailer for the first episode of his new season of “Tucker Carlson Originals” features a series of shots of half-naked (white) muscular men. They pump rubber, chop wood, grill, shoot – and wrestle – accompanied by the soaring, hard-hitting theme song popularized in the 1968 film “2001: A Space Odyssey.”

Curiously, many men’s faces are blurred or hidden. In one scene, a naked man stands with his arms outstretched and his genitals illuminated behind what one observer said looks like a Tesla charging station.

Daily Beast reporter Justin Baragona joked in a tweet that the trailer would be make Carlson “arrest” if he played it in a classroom in Florida, where it is now illegal to discuss sexual orientation in lower grades of schools.

“Are Fascists Having Fun With Tucker’s Bizarre Video?” wondered Walter Shaub, former director of the US Office of Government Ethics in the Obama and (briefly) Trump administrations. “A guy stuffs his bric-a-brac into a light box, a narrator says ‘tough’ repeatedly, one drinks water like beer in a fraternity, two writhe shirtless… “

Others couldn’t help but notice echoes of Nazi filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl.

Carlson warns in a promo for the episode about the impending “end of men,” the episode title. He says, “One of the greatest stories of our lives is the total testosterone crash levels in American men. He promises to share secrets on how to prevent this from happening. (Someone on Twitter recommended to watch the trailer several times.)

Testosterone levels in American men — and around the world — have been declining for decades, which scientists have attributed to factors including aging, poor health, lack of exercise and obesity. The research also found reduced testosterone levels from pollution, which Carlson doesn’t usually seem concerned about.

Who knows what the actual documentary will reveal? But the trailer alone inspired countless Twitter spirits.
