Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) on Wednesday announced his support for House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
Tuberville claims he was “shocked by the scope of the allegations and the strength of the evidence” after he and his Senate colleagues met with House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Oversight Committee Chairman , James Comer (R-KY).
Tuberville said the impeachment inquiry “needs to happen.”
He said in a video statement:
Hey, coach here. I just came from a meeting with Congressman Jim Jordan and Congressman James Comer. And for the first time, here in the Senate, most of us just sat and listened as they laid out the case against President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. You know, I’m absolutely shocked by the scale of the allegations and the strength of the evidence, we should be ashamed. Our media should be ashamed. Our institutions should be ashamed of what has been happening for four years without an investigation. I commend President McCarthy for moving forward with an impeachment inquiry. You know, I don’t like indictments, you know, it holds our country back, but in this case it has to happen. The American people deserve the truth.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) launched an impeachment inquiry against Biden for “abuse of power, obstruction, and corruption,” based on four key pieces of evidence.
As Breitbart News reports:
- House investigators found Joe Biden lied about his involvement in family business
- Bank records show many payments were made to Biden family members through shell companies.
- FBI informant claims Joe Biden was bribed by Ukrainian energy executive.
- Joe Biden “gave special treatment” to Hunter Biden in his Justice Department’s tax investigation into his son.
Comer, Jordan, and Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (MO) will lead the impeachment investigation.
Comer plans to “pursue the personal and professional banking records of Hunter and James Biden,” his spokesperson announced Tuesday.
