Judge rejects defense challenge for cause regarding first potential juror
Judge Juan Merchan rejected the defense team’s challenge for cause.
“Juror #1 is rejected, who’s your next?” he told Trump lawyer Todd Blanche.
Blanche replied: “Juror No. 2.”
What does that mean: Trump’s lawyers are seeking to have some potential jurors dismissed for cause — which, if successful, means they wouldn’t have to resort to one of their 10 strikes.
