Trump launches new product line: watches sold for up to $100,000

Donald Trump announced a new product line on Thursday: a range of watches sold for up to $100,000 each. In an article for Truth Social, the former president described the watches as “truly special” and suggested one of them “would make a great Christmas gift.”

The custom watches are the latest business effort by Trump, who has licensed his name for use with a number of products in recent months, ranging from “Never give up on high-top shoes” for $499 per pair to the new “President Donald J. Trump First Edition” silver coins sold for $100 each.

The Trump watch line offers two models, called Trump Victory Tourbillon and Fight Fight Fight Watch. The Tourbillon watch is “almost entirely” made from 18-karat gold and includes 122 diamonds, according to the Trump watch website. It also includes a tourbillon mechanism, a high-end component designed to improve a watch’s precision, and costs $100,000.

The high price is in line with the price of many tourbillon watches, which often reach six figures and above. The site says it is only selling 147 examples of the Victory Tourbillon model, which bears a “Swiss made” stamp on the dial. The Fight Fight Fight watch sells for $500 to $800, depending on color, and is gold-plated, the site says.

“(You)ll stand out for all the right reasons” with the Trump Victory Tourbillon watch, the site says. “The Trump Victory Tourbillon is designed to counteract the effect of gravity. You will wear the absolute declaration of success.”

It’s unclear exactly where the watches are made or by which manufacturer, with the website only noting that Trump watches “are not designed, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, or any of their respective subsidiaries or managers”.

A company called TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC, which licenses Trump’s name for watches, lists a suite in a building in Sheridan, Wyoming, the same address as the company selling Trump’s $499 sneakers. The suite is close to a Wendy’s fast food restaurant and a Sherwin-Williams paint store.

TheBestWatchesonEarth did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Final sales — no refunds

The website also states that all watch sales are final and no refunds will be given.

The Trump Victory Tourbillon watch has a two-year limited warranty on the watch movement, hands and dial, while the Fight Fight Fight watch has a one-year limited warranty on the same parts.

No proceeds from Trump Watches sales will be donated to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, according to the site.

“GetTrumpWatches.com is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign,” the site notes. “TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC uses the name, image and likeness of ‘Trump’ under a licensing agreement which may be terminated or revoked according to its terms.”

He adds: “Trump watches are intended to be collectibles for individual enjoyment only, and not for investment purposes. »
