In an interview aired Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “Life, Liberty & Levin”, former President Donald Trump tore his successor to pieces about the “catastrophic events” that have unfolded over the past 10 months.
Trump, highlighting inflation, the US-Mexico border crisis and withdrawal from Afghanistan, argued that President Joe Biden’s tenure had been “the most embarrassing and humiliating period in our country’s history “.
“Inflation is devouring our living people,” Trump lamented. “The southern border has never been like this, never – I mean in any country maybe. You know, you can go to the most remote places in the world, and no one has had borders like this. We have millions and millions of people. It’s not hundreds of thousands or tens of thousands. Millions of people come here without control. And when you think about it, countries are emptying their prisons in the United States. We are like a dumping ground. When you see this, I think the most embarrassing moment in our country’s history was the withdrawal from Afghanistan. I was going to leave; 21 years was enough, and I had it at 2,500 soldiers.
“I was going to keep Bagram because of China, not because of Afghanistan – because they’re an hour away from their nuclear nuisance because that’s exactly what it is,” he said. for follow-up. This is where they manufacture their nuclear, an hour away. Do you know who’s in Bagram right now? China. They will take over. They inspect it. They want it. We spent billions of dollars years ago to build this. And I was going to bomb all the other facilities. … And that would have been it. We would be gone.
Trump later added. “I think this is the most embarrassing and humiliating time in the history of our country.”
