Former President Donald Trump couldn’t remember the name of the controversial Ohio Republican nominee he endorsed for the Senate.
“We approved… JP? Right?” he asked at a political rally in Nebraska on Sunday, appearing to turn to someone offstage for help as he addressed the crowd.
“JD Mandel”, he finally chose. “And he’s doing very well.”
The name he was looking for was JD Vance, a venture capitalist and author of “Hillbilly Elegy” who has no political experience. (And his Josh Mandel; He is running versus Vance in the GOP primary on May 3.)
On Friday, Vance bizarrely suggested that President Joe Biden was trying to “kill a bunch of MAGA voters” with fentanyl. He said the president was intentionally allowing drug dealers to cross the southern border to sell the often-lethal drug to all drug-addicted “heart” right-wing Republican voters. Apparently, Democratic voters wouldn’t be affected by such a crazy plan because they don’t use drugs, Vance implied.
While Vance hailed Trump’s endorsement last month, he reportedly called the former president “America’s Hitler” and an “idiot.”
