Trump calls for peace talks to end war in Ukraine and deportation of people crossing US border

Former President Donald Trump has called for peace talks to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and promised he would quickly begin deporting illegal aliens if elected president in his first event campaign official in South Carolina on Saturday night.

“Through weakness and incompetence, Joe Biden has brought us to the brink of World War III. We’re on the brink of World War III, just in case anyone doesn’t know,” Trump said, flanked by Governor Henry McMaster (R-SC) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), the heads of his South Carolina campaign leadership team, “As president, I will bring peace through strength.”

Trump said that if hewas president, there would have been no war with Russia and Ukraine; no chance.

He added that a peace agreement is waiting to be reached between the countries:

And I will say this, even now, despite the huge loss of life and the destruction of much of this country, I would like to negotiate a peace agreement within 24 hours. You could make a peace deal, you could make a deal for both now, 24 hours. This agreement could be concluded. This deal is waiting to be done but there is no one to do it.

Trump then referred to his policy plan to “build state-of-the-art, next-generation missile defense shields” to defend and “protect Americans against the threat of hypersonic missiles and nuclear weapons.” He previously detailed the plan with a campaign policy video released last week:

Earlier in his address, the 45th president called for the rapid deportation of illegal immigrants. Since President Joe Biden has been in charge, some 4.2 million illegal immigrants have been apprehended along the southwestern border, as reported by Breitbart News.

“They’re coming from prisons, and they’re coming from mental institutions, and they’re coming from a lot of bad places that are going to get us in a lot of trouble,” Trump said, adding:

We have to fix this and we have to do it quickly, and we have to fire a lot of people very, very quickly because we can’t have what they’re sending. They send people who are killers, murderers, they send rapists, and they send, frankly, terrorists or terrorists come on their own, and frankly, we cannot allow that to happen. Thus, illegal border workers will be sent directly home. These bad, mostly, and they’ll go fast.

Trump’s trip to South Carolina, the nation’s second-largest state, came hours after delivering the keynote address to the New Hamshire Republican Party’s annual conference in Salem, New Hampshire. Trump has pledged to preserve New Hampshire’s status as the nation’s first primary state “for many, many years to come” if elected president, as reported by Breitbart News.
