Dodgers’ RHP Trevor Bauer grievance hearing against MLB will begin May 23, ESPN reported Friday.

According to ESPN, “A third-party arbitrator hired by both MLB and the MLB Players Association — in this case, Marty Scheinman — will review the findings and preside over a hearing that may see witnesses testify and could span several months.”

Scheinman will have the authority to determine whether Bauer’s suspension will be denied, upheld or reduced. There is no definitive timeline as to how long the grievance process will take, as it can range from several weeks to several months, depending on Scheinman’s availability.
