Travis Barker gets a hawk tattoo in honor of Taylor Hawkins

Travis Barker has paid tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins with a tattoo of a hawk on the top of his left foot.

“HAWK forever 🦅,” he captioned a series of photos on Instagram of his ink session with Mark Mahoney at the Shamrock Social Club.

His fiancée Kourtney Kardashian was of course present and even offered her stepfather a kiss to ease the pain.

As we previously reported, Hawkins was found dead in a hotel room in Bogotá, Colombia on March 25. He was 50 years old.

The country’s attorney general’s office announced the next day that a preliminary toxicology test showed the musician had 10 substances in his system, including opioids, benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants and THC.

However, the official cause of death has yet to be determined.

Model Blink-182 was among thousands of devastated fans who paid tribute to the legend on social media.

“I don’t have the words. Sad to write this or never see you again,” he captioned a black-and-white photo of Hawkins sitting criss-crossed on the floor, flashing a large gin.

“I’ll never forget the days in Laguna Beach when I was a trash man playing in a punk rock band and you played with Alanis [Morissette]”, Barker continued. “You’d come watch me play in dive bars and you’d be like, ‘kid, you’re a star.’ And I thought you were crazy but you gave me so much hope and determination.

He marveled that, years later, Blink-182 and Foo Fighters ended up touring Australia together.

“I have the fondest memories of smoking cigarettes in the toilets on the flights we were on together and watching your set every night,” Barker wrote of that time.

“To say that you will be missed my friend is not enough. Until next time we talk drums and smoke in the boys room…Rest In Peace 😢🥁💔.
