MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – In response to the recent tornadoes that devastated central Mississippi, the Rocket City Trash Pandas have teamed up with Prepared and Respond (PAR) to collect items for those in need.
They are asking for donations of bottled water, canned food, cleaning supplies, hygiene products and paper products.
Trash Pandas officials hope these essential relief supplies will help minimize suffering and offer compassion during this time to our neighbors in Mississippi.
Mareca Watson, Director of Customer Relations and Fan Experience for Rocket City Trash Pandas, Mareca Watson said, “Being born and raised in Alabama, I know all too well what it’s like. April 27, 2011… Looks like it happened not too long ago, and it’s been a while. It was just the right thing to do. We’ve had a lot of people flock to our community, so why not come back to theirs? »
The campaign started this week and will continue throughout Trash Pandas opening weekend, April 6-8. Watson says once the ride is complete, PAR will take the items to Mississippi.
If you are able to donate, you can bring items to Toyota Field Reception or the Junkyard Team Store during regular business hours.
