Transit suggests a different set of wheels for Go By Bike Week in the Central Okanagan

Go By Bike Week runs from May 29 to June 4, and BC Transit is urging customers to get involved.

Transit will participate in several events at “celebration stations” in the area, promoting sustainable transportation and teaching cyclists how to use bike racks on buses.

Racks make it easier for cyclists to combine two forms of sustainable transportation when covering longer distances.

BC Transit will be at the following locations for Go By Bike week:

• Stuart Park – Monday, May 29 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.;
• Ben Lee Park – Thursday, June 1 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Residents can register for Go By Bike week to win local and provincial prizes, and individuals or teams can register and record their bike rides.
