Speaking to Boyle Sports, the former Liverpool midfielder has urged Jurgen Klopp to consider strengthening his engine room this summer.
“If I’m Jurgen Klopp, I would be happy if everyone stayed in front. I would choose a midfielder because that’s the area where we can be a bit stronger.
“Milner might not play anymore and in the middle of the park we have to be stronger.
“With Konaté and Gomez, we also have great choices at the back.
“We have Fabinho in midfield and he’s been fantastic but you can see when he’s injured.
“Henderson can play there but it’s not his real position, so Tchouaméni, why not?
“As I said, in the transfer window I’m sure we can choose the right players.”
