Moyes on West Ham window

David Moyes says his challenge will be to “try to put it all together” as West Ham’s “incredibly ambitious” transfer window draws to a close.

The Hammers have made seven signings so far this summer and agreed a tentative deal with Lyon on Friday that could see Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta become the eighth.

Centre-back Thilo Kehrer, signed from Paris Saint-Germain, is the only one of Moyes’ additions to have started a Premier League game so far this season, with timing, fitness issues and injuries having played out a role, while the manager’s natural inclination is towards a cautious approach to bedding newcomers.
