Transfer news: Celtic’s Ryan Christie joins Bournemouth | Football news

Bournemouth has finalized the signing of Ryan Christie from Celtic for an estimated fee of around £ 2.5million.

The Championship team beat competition from Premier League side Burnley to sign the 26-year-old, who is currently in international service with Scotland.

Christie completed her medical in Scotland before flying away with the national team to their World Cup qualification against Denmark on Wednesday, live on Air sports.

Christie – who could sign a pre-contract deal from January 1 after recently rejecting a new contract offer from Celtic – joined Parkhead club from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2015 and scored 42 goals for the club.

The attacking midfielder is Bournemouth’s second signing after Jamal Lowe, who has joined league rivals Swansea City.

Lowe, who scored 14 goals for the Swans last season, signed a three-year contract and said on the club’s official website: “I’m delighted to be here at this great club and can’t wait to get started.

“It went really fast. Over the past 24 hours I’ve had a lot of phone calls and finally being here in Bournemouth is surreal.

“The manager, the size of the club and the style of play. It was obvious to me.”
