Tottenham XI vs Brighton: Predicted starting line-up, confirmed squad news, most recent Premier League injury today
Today’s game against Brighton is Tottenham’s first without in-form winger Matt Doherty, who is out for the season.
The Irishman suffered a knee injury against Aston Villa last week and will only recover after the summer break.
“I think the first visit to the doctor said he could recover without surgery,” Spurs boss Antonio Conte said. “Seven to eight weeks before he recovers. Because of this, his season is over.
“It’s really bad news for us. We know very well how our team has improved and it’s a shame to lose a player like him for the rest of the season.
Midfielder Oliver Skipp is still injured, as is Japhet Tanganga, but Ryan Sessegnon is at least back available.
Sessegnon is out with a hamstring injury but could make the squad this weekend.
Predicts Tottenham XI (3-4-3): Loris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Royal, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Reguilon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son.
