Tottenham transfer news and rumours: Zaniolo deal reached, Conte wants mysterious signing, Medical Udogy

Ottenham are closing in on their seventh summer signing and Antonio Conte could be looking for more.

The Italian is a fan of the wingers and Spurs are set to sign their third of the transfer window, although he won’t join next season.

Spurs are also believed to be hot on the trail of Nicolo Zaniolo, although former manager Jose Mourinho might have a thing or two to say about that.

Here is the latest transfer news and Spurs rumors…

Nicolas Zaniolo

Tottenham had reached an agreement with Roma and Nicolo Zaniolo on a summer move, only for Jose Mourinho to block the transfer.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Spurs were due to loan out Zaniolo for the season with an obligation to pay £42.2m next season.

The Roma board and the then-player wanted the transfer to happen, only to see Mourinho interfere.

La Gazzetta dello Sport add that the move is not dead, however, and Spurs could return with an improved loan fee to give Mourinho more cash to spend this summer.

mystery ahead

Tottenham remain in the market for another striker, Sky Sports report.

As things stand, the club aren’t close to making a new attacking addition with their focus on outings.

Antonio Conte is happy with his squad and will look to make a new signing once the squad size has been reduced.

Destiny Udogy

Spurs are closing in on signing Destiny Udogie, with a medical due in the coming days.

The BBC reports that the left-back will stay at Udinese for the season, on loan, and official confirmation of a deal is not imminent.

Udogie is expected to cost around £21m.
