Antonio Conte is taking advantage of the assurances given to him by Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici this summer.
Admittedly, it’s hard to remember the last time Tottenham signed four players at this stage of the transfer window and, excitingly, it doesn’t look like the club are stopping there.
With Conte aiming to challenge for top honors in his first full season in charge, Spurs are going all out in the transfer market.
Here’s the latest transfer news and rumours.
The Sunday Mirror claims Spurs are looking to attack Everton for the second time in as many weeks.
While the club would like to keep Anthony Gordon having already sold Richarlison, Spurs are said to be ready to take a chance on signing the youngster from Goodison Park.
With Everton believed to owe Spurs £10m when Dele Alli makes 20 appearances, those in North London would be willing to call that off and pay a further £20m to secure a deal on the line.
RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol is said to have admirers at Spurs, with the Croatia international having already emerged as a potential alternative to Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni.
Although it may be difficult to convince the German side to sell, noted transfer insider Pete O’Rourke (speaking to GIVEMESPORT) has advised the defender to make a move.
“He fits the bill; he is one of their main targets. The problem for Tottenham is that RB Leipzig are unwilling to sell the Croatia international, and they are trying to rule him out of a move.
“So this one may well be too expensive for Tottenham this season, but he is a left-wing centre-back who is young with huge potential to also become a big, big player in the future.”
Presented as a potential target given his free agent status and the fact that he would help Spurs with their quota of local players, Jesse Lingard would also be of interest to West Ham and Everton.
According to The Sun, the former Manchester United midfielder would only consider a move to Goodison Park as a last resort, leaving Spurs and West Ham in charge.
