Tottenham beat West Ham thanks to reinforcement from Heung-min Son as FOUR protesters fail in their attempt to tie themselves to the goal posts during the second half

Heung-min Son hit a brace as Tottenham beat West Ham 3-1 in their London derby on Saturday.

Kurt Zouma inadvertently opened the scoring before Son doubled Spurs’ lead. Said Benrahma pulled one back just before half-time but the visitors couldn’t capitalize and the South Korean star sealed the win late.

The action started with Spurs taking the lead in the ninth minute, benefiting from another own goal.

Matt Doherty won the ball high, Harry Kane squared Heung-min Son and the final touch came from Kurt Zouma.

It was the tenth time an opposition player had hit their own net against Spurs in all competitions this season.

Son, who had touched the post earlier, made it 2-0 in the 24th minute, with Kane once again the provider.

The South Korean clung to a defensive pass and passed Fabianski, using a deflection.

West Ham pulled a goal back 10 minutes before the break.

Against the run of play, Said Benrahma fired home when a corner kick was sent to the far post by Craig Dawson.

At the start of the second half, there was a flashpoint when the ball was out of play.

As Son came forward to take a corner, Zouma threw the ball and he hit him in the back.

Son went down and the two groups of players clashed in response, though eventually the referee calmed things down.

During this break in play, four protesters invading the pitch tried to tie themselves to the goal posts in the same way one protester did at Goodison Park on Thursday night.

However, the stewards intercepted the three before they could buckle up.

There wasn’t much else to write about until the final minutes of the second half.

Spurs cruised to the death victory as Son ran over Kane’s head and headed home.
