Tony Bellew tells Tyson Fury ‘monster’ Jon Jones would ‘rip limbs out of him’ and admits Francis Ngannou scares him
Tony Bellew has warned Tyson Fury to steer clear of any type of crossover fight against Jon Jones or Francis Ngannou.
The WBC world heavyweight boxing champion tore Joe Rogan apart on Thursday after the MMA fanatic insisted Fury would not emerge victorious in a no-holds-barred bout with Jones.
Fury fired back, roaring, “I heard Joe Rogan say something about me, and I left all social media and didn’t respond to that little p***y, little fucking dwarf, bald-headed dwarf.
“I’ve heard it said that Jon Jones could fuck me if we were in the room together. I don’t think so. Not a man born from a mother could fuck me, in a bedroom, all alone. Whatever he walks into this room, I’ll get out. That’s no problem.
Asked about it by reporters on Friday, Bellew said, “Stop, stop.
“Do you understand what these people are (capable of)?
“I used to think, dealing with MMA and anybody in the cage, that I would flex them with an uppercut.
“I have a very close friend by the name of Mark Scanlon, who was in the UFC. So this guy teaches me a little, we do a little jiu-jitsu and we ride together.
“No boxer has a chance against (an MMA fighter).
“The minute someone comes up to you and starts (aiming for a takedown), just raise your hand bro. Raise your hand and say, ‘I’m fine, I don’t need all this.’
“Tyson Fury mate, I know you think you can wrestle, I know you think you’re strong and heavy, if he (Jones) takes you he rips limbs off.
“You’re going to lose your ankle, your knee, your arm – you’re going to lose something. Jon Jones is a freak of nature, the guy is a freak.
“And I don’t even want to talk about Francis Ngannou because this boy scares me just to hear his name and I’m not afraid of anyone.
“He will never do anything in boxing, he will be absolutely brutalized, but I tell you now what he is capable of in a cage – he takes people for a laugh and just slams them to the ground for fun.
“Even Jon Jones has limits because I know he doesn’t want anything from Francis Ngannou. The guy is a monster.
“Boxing is probably the most damaging physical sport in the world because all we do is get punched in the head, but MMA is definitely the hardest.
“There are so many disciplines to conquer, so many ways to lose, so many painful things to face. They are on another level.
