Tony Bellew predicts Dillian Whyte will topple Tyson Fury as he says Gypsy King ‘will have to stand up’ in world heavyweight title defense

Tyson Fury has been told he “would have to get up” and could be knocked out by Dillian Whyte on Saturday night.

That’s according to Tony Bellew, who gave his verdict ahead of the Gypsy King’s WBC heavyweight title defense against Whyte at Wembley, which is live on talkSPORT this weekend.

Fury is the favorite to win but Bellew thinks the Gypsy King must be wary of Whyte

Fury is expected to win the all-British fight with many considering him a class above his opponent who has never had a world title before.

However, former WBC cruiserweight champion Bellew insists it won’t be an easy night for Fury.

Bellew told talkSPORT he could see Fury being taken down by Whyte and wouldn’t be surprised to see the Bodysnatcher knock out the undefeated Gypsy King.

He also believes Whyte won’t be sucked in by Fury’s mind games that have plagued previous opponents.

“Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight in the world right now, there’s no denying that,” Bellew said on The Sports Bar.

“But Dillian Whyte is a tough night for everyone. Anyone who thinks Dillian Whyte is going to be an easy fight is a fool…he’s big, he’s dangerous, he’s brave and he can punch. All of these attributes will cause trouble for anyone.

“And Tyson knows that too, he’s not dumb, but with Tyson’s boxing ability, if he fights his way through the top six, I expect him to be strong in the second. half the fight.

“But believe me, I actually think he’s going to have to get up.

“Dillian Whyte is a game like anything and he will jump all over Tyson Fury. He won’t care about showboating, dancing, dropping the hand.

“He won’t get into Dillian’s head either…Tyson can’t break Dillian’s mindset. Dillian is a tough, tough, tough kid.

“I think it’s a very, very good fight. I’m not saying Dillian is going to knock out Tyson Fury because that would be a stupid statement, but I will say this, it wouldn’t surprise me if he did.

“It’s been a really tough night at work for Tyson Fury. He might not want to admit it, but he knows it.
