Tommy Fury Says Jake Paul’s Fight is ‘Easy Money’, Thanks YouTuber for Helping ‘Win the Lottery’
T

ommy Fury claimed he stayed away from social media ahead of his fight with Jake Paul in Tampa Bay on December 18.

The 22-year-old was speaking at a press conference alongside his brother Tyson and father John. Paul joined them by video link while lying in his swimming pool from Puerto Rico.

After his brother Tyson, who trains Tommy, predicted a severe knockout, the younger of the two Furys revealed that he ignored the social media buzz ahead of next month’s fight and simply viewed the contest as a direct fight.

“The hype doesn’t win the fights, the fights wins the fights,” he said.

“I’m not even involved in all of this. I didn’t go to Instagram because I don’t care.

“I don’t care what he says or does or thinks because it doesn’t matter because when he jumps through those ropes on December 18th and when he realizes I’m not a YouTuber, I don’t am not a basketball player, I am not a wrestler, I am not a UFC fighter, he will get hit with a nice sharp kick.

“He’s going to be like ‘What did I sign up for?’ here.”

Paul then intervened, although the delay in his video link made it difficult to understand what he was saying.

“It’s easy money for me,” Fury continued.

“Thanks for making me win the lottery, I’m going to rob the bank and I’m not going to go to jail for it.”
