Tom Holland | Tom Holland is bothered by his chest hair

Tom Holland didn’t want people to see his chest hair in ‘Uncharted’.

The 25-year-old actor joked that he hoped he was well prepared for filming as he was embarrassed that audiences would see him shirtless in the new action film.

After host Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small asked him if he was nervous about seeing his body explode on an IMAX screen, Tom said on the ‘Smallzy’s Celebrity Small Talk’ podcast: “I was hoping I shaved my nipples on those days because I have the most embarrassing chest hair.

Tom shared that joining the film’s cast – which also includes Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas and Sophia Taylor Ali – was “an easy decision” for him as he got to know the character while playing the video game.

He said: “It was an easy decision. The initial script I read was fantastic. The character was someone I really enjoyed playing in video games, so someone I was excited to bring to life on the big screen.

Along with that, the ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ star also relished the opportunity for a “new challenge” after the Marvel franchise released its final episode in December.

Tom – who is in a relationship with ‘Euphoria’ star Zendaya – said: “I was also excited for a new challenge. You know, this movie was incredibly hard to make for all sorts of reasons, but it was also been so rewarding, so it was an easy decision.

The British actor thinks it’s ‘funny’ being asked if he’s ever been tested for COVID-19 every time he gets dabbed because routine testing has become such an important part of making a film.

He said: “It’s so funny, every time I get tested now the person says, ‘Have you ever been tested? Where do you think I’ve been, what do you think I’m doing?

Tom assured that some tests “tickle more than others” and that there was a test clinician they dubbed “debbie deepthroat” on set.
