TJ Watt’s appeal over dismissal case dismissed

It looks like TJ Watt will have to settle for just being tied to the top of the record books.

Watt’s appeal to Elias’ sports office was dismissed on Wednesday after he sought to be awarded another sack in Sunday’s Week 18 win over the Ravens, according to DK Pittsburgh’s Dale Lolley Sports. Instead, Watt ends the season with 22.5 sacks, tied with Michael Strahan for most in a single season of all time.

Watt’s claim is based on a play in the first quarter of Sunday’s game in which Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley hit the ground after a botched slap, came back briefly but was then brought back by Watt, who forced a fumble on the game.
