Disney+ has unveiled a teaser for Santa Clauses original series, featuring Tim Allen reprising his role as Scott Calvin wearing the classic Santa Claus costume for the fourth installment of Santa franchise. The new teaser was shown during the D23 Expo.
In the teaser, SC is ready to step down from his role as Santa Claus with his 65th birthday on the horizon. As his magic begins to fade, Scott searches for a replacement he deems worthy of managing the workshop and tending to the elves. One of the interviewees is NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.
Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell will reprise their roles as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus and Carol Calvin/Mrs. Claus, respectively. David Krumholtz is also set to return as Bernard the Elf, the head elf of Santa’s workshop in the first two films.
Allen first starred in the 1994 film Santawhich was followed by two sequels: 2002’s Santa Claus 2 and 2006 Santa Claus 3: The Escape Clause.
Elizabeth Allen-Dick, Devin Bright, Austin Kane, Matilda Lawler, Teagan Johnson, Nico Bustos, Laura San Giacomo, Rupali Redd and Kal Penn are also among the cast of the 20th TV-produced series. Jack Burdit (Last man standing) serves as showrunner and executive producer. Allen’s executive director produces alongside Kevin Hench, Richard Baker and Rick Messina.
Santa Clauses will debut with two episodes on Disney+ on November 16. Watch the teaser above.
