Three people arrested after Limestone County officials found drugs, stolen gun and cash

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Alabama – Three men have been arrested after Limestone County officials found drugs, a stolen gun and cash during the execution of a search warrant earlier this week .

According to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, the Narcotics Unit and Special Response Team have located more than 20 grams of fentanyl, methamphetamine, a stolen gun and more than $ 1,700 in cash in the 18,000 block of East Limestone Road in Athens.

Limestone County authorities said Deputy Dylan Legg recognized items stolen from one of the offender’s vehicles while filling out a victim report for a separate incident.

Authorities say three men were arrested on drug and stolen property charges.
