This father was able to escape and call for help. Paramedics took him to hospital in stable condition while the Miami-Dade Police Department Special Response Team surrounded the house.
“He was barricaded inside the residence, that warranted a special intervention team and a hostage negotiator,” said Detective Angel Rodriguez of the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Police said the gunman barricaded himself inside the house with two women and two children. After negotiators attempted to make contact, police said they heard a gunshot and subsequently found the gunman and the two women dead.
