In a move designed to strategically empower its business partners, online travel agency Thomas Cook India has announced the launch of a next-generation digital tool – Holiday Mate.


Holiday Mate is an initiative that provides fast, transparent and accurate services to end customers while simplifying processes and time management for its B2B travel agent partners.

The online tool is part of Thomas Cook’s ‘Digital First’ strategy and is highlighted as giving the company a ‘valuable first-mover advantage in the holiday space’.

Holiday Mate enables the company’s partner travel agents to seamlessly manage end-to-end holiday bookings online, from selecting the right products to making payments.

The release mentions four easy steps for the company’s travel agents to book vacations. They include product selection and booking verification, then login, entering required traveler information and payment.

The B2B tool helps the company reach key viable source markets in Tiers 2, 3 and 4 in the country, significantly expanding Thomas Cook’s market share. It also offers a group booking service and will move forward with catering for individual trips in the next stage.

Shares of Thomas Cook ended down 1.3% at Rs 73.60.
