Thieves break into Airbnb, steal money and rental car during CMA Fest

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A group of singles from Texas just had their trip to Nashville derailed after their rental home and car were stolen by thieves while attending CMA Fest.

The group traveled from San Antonio, Texas this week to enjoy all the country music the CMA Fest has to offer in Nashville. They rented a townhouse on Airbnb near Vanderbilt University on Convent Place and rented a vehicle for the long weekend.

They said that when they returned to the rental location on Friday evening, they could see that it had been broken into. The lock on the front door was broken and several items were missing inside, including all their money.

One of the victims said the thieves even took their rental vehicle.

The group is working with Metro Police on the burglary, including surveillance footage that potentially shows the suspects. Victims said other units of the property were also broken into.
