These episodes of Murder, She Wrote are perfect for Halloween

Murder, she binges.

Peacock has all 12 seasons of the Angela Lansbury-directed mystery series The Murder She Wrote and we couldn’t be more grateful. After the legendary actress passed away – and with Halloween just around the corner – a marathon of the crime drama’s spookiest episodes seemed like the right way to get into the holiday spirit.

The critically acclaimed series, which aired between 1984 and 1996 on CBS, follows crime writer Jessica Fletcher (Lansbury) as she uses her unique skills to solve murders across the country. During her time as an amateur sleuth, Jessica encounters countless witches, would-be ghosts, and plenty of troublemakers – and that’s just in our roundup of Halloween-centric episodes.

And expect plenty of notable guest stars as well. The spooky episodes feature appearances from Joaquin Phoenix, Marianne Seldes, Julie Adams, Bill Maher, Barry Williamsand John Astin among others. (For the record, the rest of the series also includes cameos from George Clooney, Megan Mullally, Bryan Cranston, Courtney Cox and Caitlyn Jenner.)
