These are the Supreme Court Justices who ran for Biden’s State of the Union

Five of the Supreme Court’s nine justices attended President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Justices Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan, Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett and Chief Justice John Roberts were on Capitol Hill for the President’s speech.

It’s not uncommon for judges to skip the event — which Roberts himself called a partisan “peer rally.” Only four justices attended former President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address in 2019.
