‘There’s only room for one big dog’ – Tyson Fury and Thor Bjornsson continue war of words as talk of potential fight heats up

It looks like we could see Tyson Fury return to the ring sooner than expected, but it won’t be against any of the usual suspects.
Since retiring from boxing after knocking out Dillian Whyte in February, there has been a lot of speculation that ‘The Gypsy King’ will return.
The main options have been well publicized as a number of fans and pundits are expecting Fury to fight the winner of Anthony Joshua against Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed fight for the world heavyweight title.
Fury himself also teased a potential matchup with UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in a crossover bout.
At the moment, however, it looks like Fury is only aiming for one man, as he took to Instagram to call former “world’s strongest man” Thor Bjornsson.
“Just finished a brutal session,” Fury said. “And I can only think of destroying one person.
“Thor! I’m coming for you Thor, don’t you care, there’s only room for one big dog and that’s me.
Thor responded on his own Instagram Story, “I love f****** that Tyson. You and me in the ring like fucking vikings.

“It’s going to be a bloodbath, but I can’t wait. Let’s do this!”
Never one to let anyone else have the final say, Fury posted again this morning as he raced, saying: ‘The Gypsy King is back this morning, six days this week, twice a day .
“Thor, I’m going to come to Iceland and take care of you, you fat ass.”
It all started earlier this week, when Fury called out Thor seemingly out of the blue, saying, “I wonder if Thor Bjornsson could take a right hand that crashes into that big jaw.
“Who would have Thor’s hammer?” Is this mountain too big to climb?

In response, Thor posted an Instagram story that read, “What happens when an unstoppable force meets a stationary object? We may know.
Thor then put up a video in which he said, “Tyson, there’s only one way to find out.”
He then pointed his fist at the camera and added, “Let’s talk.”
Thor has some in-ring experience after taking on fellow strongman Eddie Hall in March, which he won by unanimous decision after twice dropping the Briton.
Fury and Thor go against each other fairly evenly from a physical standpoint, both standing 6ft 9in tall, but the Icelander has the weight advantage at 23 stone, while ‘The Gypsy King’ is around 19.5 stones.
That being said, given that Fury is arguably the best heavyweight of his era and has held every world heavyweight title at some point in his career, if a fight with Thor ever happened it would be a full shift.
