This is what Canada Soccer announced on Wednesday evening. It will be the first visit in 14 years for the national team to Australia. It is there, as well as in New Zealand, that the next World Cup will take place, from July 20 to August 20, 2023.
Until then, the Canadians will meet South Korea on June 26 in Toronto in a friendly match. They will then take part in the CONCACF Women’s Championship, from July 4 to 18 in Monterrey, Mexico, which will serve as both a qualifying tournament for the World Cup and for the Paris Olympics in 2024.
In the group stage of this tournament, Canada will face Trinidad and Tobago on July 5, Panama on July 8 and Costa Rica on July 11.
