“We are coming to get you…”
That was the message Jamie O’Hara had for rivals Tottenham and he might just be right.
Spurs completed their sixth signing of the summer in Djed Spence on Tuesday morning as Antonio Conte received genuine backing in the transfer market.
Joining the exciting North London back wing are Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Clement Lenglet.
It’s a marked departure from the usual tactic of chairman Daniel Levy, who often spends the entire transfer window finding the best possible deal for his club.
But Conte has a full squad ahead of the new season as he looks to launch a bid for the Premier League title.
That’s exactly what the Italian will have in view, regardless of the gap between Man City and Liverpool.
Conte will need to use that squad depth to the fullest in a grueling season which will include a Champions League return for Spurs.

There is also the mid-season break where many of his players will leave for the World Cup.
Luckily for him, he could field two distinct and very strong starting XIs if he so wished.
This would likely be Conte’s starting XI to turn to at the start of the season.
The front three of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski proved very effective in the second half of last season.
New signing Bissouma joins Rodrigo Bentancur in midfield, while Perisic and Spence can operate as full-backs.
Conte often prefers to play with three centre-backs and has plenty of options.
Ben Davies was strong on the left of the three, with Eric Dier in the middle and Cristian Romeo on the other side.
In goal is the reliable Hugo Lloris.
The second XI Conte might not field quite the same number of star names, but many Premier League teams would be envious to have these players in their best formation, let alone a second string.
The top three would include new signing Richarlison alongside academy star Troy Parrott and Brazil winger Lucas Moura.
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Oliver Skipp are in those central midfield roles with Ryan Sessegnon and Matt Doherty in the wing-back positions.
Joe Rodon, Davinson Sanchez and new boy Lenglet make up the back three with Forster behind them.
Spurs have backed Conte this summer, and given there’s still plenty of time left in the window, we could see even more additions coming to Hotspur Way.
Conte is a winner and Tottenham are giving him the tools to succeed, so this season should be an exciting one for Spurs fans.
