The National Assembly adopts the climate bill at first reading – France

The National Assembly adopted on Tuesday at first reading the climate bill, touted by the majority as a “marker of the five-year term”, but decried by the left and environmentalists for its “inadequacies”.

Inspired by the work of the Citizen’s Climate Convention, the text was voted by 332 votes against 77, and 145 abstentions. He is expected in the Senate in June.
